Sodoku is a number puzzle game where
the aim is to fill the squares so that each row, each
column and each 3x3 sub-grid contain the numbers from
1 through 9. The puzzles are solved using logic alone
and are extremely addictive.
The word "sodoku" is of Japanese
origin and means "numbers singly", however
the game actually comes from Howard Games in America
where it was origianally called "number place".
The game has recently received a boost in popularity
with many Britsih newspapers containing daily sodoku
puzzles.
